BrainStorm Neuroscience Pitch Competition™ 2022

What is Brainstorm? The BrainStorm Neuroscience Pitch Competition™ is the latest way in which Mind Science supports early-career neuroscientists. The Competition has a specific focus on funding for young researchers teamed with senior primary investigators, working on pilot studies to help them obtain grants for further research, with an additional strategic goal designed to incentivize the building of skills in translating complex neuroscience for a general audience through a pitch video. Three finalists are chosen by the Mind Science Foundation following a rigorous vetting by formal peer review, each receiving $30,000 in funding. You can view the semi-finalists' videos here. 

Because an important component of the Competition is increasing the strength of scientists’ communication skills for the general public, an additional $10,000 in funding goes to the winner of the Audience Choice award. Open voting online begins Monday, October 10, when the public cast votes online for the best video. Stay tuned for more information on voting! 

Finalists will be announced in early September, and the Audience Choice Award winner will be announced during a special donor celebration of the finalists on Wednesday, October 19! Stay tuned!
